Educational Therapy
With appropriate education, dyslexia need only be a temporary impediment
What Is Educational Therapy?

Educational therapy is NOT tuition, nor is it enrichment centre learning. It is a process that combines how learning takes place in the brain with knowledge of specialized teaching methods. It is intensive and individualized, conducted in a one-on-one setting.

The goals of educational therapy is to fill the gaps in a student’s education, restore self-esteem, and improve learning skills such as visual and auditory processing, attention and focus, and memory skills.

Educational therapy focuses on developing thinking processes as well as basic skills such as reading, spelling and writing. It builds on a student’s strengths, thus fostering independence.

At the MSL Centre, we use the Orton-Gillingham Approach that is both diagnostic and prescriptive in nature. Our educational therapists will create and implement a customized programme for each individual that utilizes information from a variety of sources including the client’s social, emotional, psycho-educational, and neuropsychological context.
