Are you looking for an evidence-based literacy programme based on Orton-Gillingham principles of multisensory and structured learning?
Based on the Orton-Gillingham Approach, the MSL OG Preschool Workshop is specially crafted to bring you through a logical sequence that leaves no gaps in the learning process. Best of all, the Orton-Gillingham Approach to teaching literacy skills benefits all types of learners—not just those who struggle.
The workshop caters to preschool teachers to help them in the classroom, and also to parents who want to teach their own children. It also serves as a foundation course for special education professionals who wish to be trained in the Orton-Gilllingham Approach.
In this workshop we cover multisensory skills to teach reading, spelling and writing; we also make sure that there is theory on the building blocks of literacy. We delve into the understanding of dyslexia so that preschool teachers can help identify these children and do early intervention if possible.
For parents, having armed with this knowledge of dyslexia, it will help them look out for signs and symptoms in their children and seek help early.
For educators looking at furthering their skills in Orton-Gillingham Approach to teach older children, we devised 6 additional workshops to cover all the areas in basic OG training
- Decoding
- Encoding
- Introduction of new phonograms and learned words (higher level)
- Spelling Rules
- Syllabication
- Lesson planning for different age group and ability
What a special education professional say about our course:
“You and your team did a great job with the zoom training. The flow was so smooth and the breakout rooms made it so much easier for participants to ask questions and discuss with both the trainers and other participants too. Thank you so much to all of you for all your patience when it comes to answering my never-ending questions, and always giving such detailed and easy to understand explanations. Thank you so much for the effort your team has also put in when it came to making all the great materials for the course. Am definitely looking forward to try and put into practice what I’ve learnt from you in my work soon. ”
