The MSL Centre was established in 2007 by Kimberly Loong and Ron Yoshimoto to provide educational therapy for children and adults with dyslexia and other learning disabilities.
Whilst we started out as centre that treats dyslexia, over the years, we have gotten referrals from psychologists and developmental paediatricians for their patients that may not have their primary diagnosis as dyslexia, but nonetheless need help with literacy. Our clientele includes people who may have ADHD, GDD, Developmental Language Delay and ASD. We are well-known for our one-on-one therapy sessions.
Working within a therapeutic environment, our therapists provide intervention and remediation for children and adults whose educational performance fall below clinical expectations. For early intervention, we work with preschoolers who have difficulties with letter formation, recognising and learning ABCs.
We aim to impact the people under our care, and help them realise their potential to excel. We know that successful results have followed intervention at any age, even in adults. There is great reward in spotting a child with learning disability, tailoring teaching and materials to meet his needs, turning him around and boosting his confidence.

The centre was founded by Kimberly Loong and Ron Yoshimoto, with a combined experience of more than 50 years working with people with dyslexia, training therapists and teachers.
The centre was started in 2007 because we noticed a gap in effective quality educational therapy, and excellent teacher training in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, which was not available then.
With our vast cumulative experience, MSL Centre ensures that each of our therapists within the centre is trained to the highest standard, constantly contextualizing to suit our local education system and depending on the needs of the child.

Led by Kimberly Loong, we actively use our knowledge and expertise to design and conduct therapy to improve literacy and math for people with learning disabilities, using the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Collectively, our team comprises of academic therapists with backgrounds in Psychology, Education and Special Education.
Our therapists, in addition to their professional qualifications, are continuously engaging in our intense inhouse training in order to serve our clients to the best of their abilities.
